The idea of piecing together something from different elements to create value to a home. Throughout the years, my sister and I have gathered various items for different places we’ve lived in. However, none of these locations have truly felt like home. The concept of ‘stitching’ a house together stems from our longing to finally find a place where we truly belong.

This project is an introduction to our personal lives, our belongings along the years, and to a house that will hold all these memories through walls, new and reclaimed materials, colors, textures, and patterns that relate to a house that has been patched along the way.

Stitched House is a reminder that a home’s true value is found in the small, meaningful details that evoke a sense of belonging. Whether it’s a cherished photo frame or a simple tennis ball, these little elements create a feeling of home for my sister and me.
